Lyricz showcases versatility in his upcoming EP titled ADDICTION. Inspired by love, motivation and life lessons, this EP is artistically genuine as it uncovers the realistic narratives of a journey through the life of LyriczInfluenced by his culture and lifestyle, Lyricz blesses us with a mid-tempo, eclectic, contemporary Afro-Pop EP which is all-powerful in catching our ear and making us bop! In his own words: ‘I hope my listeners take home with them, Love, Hope and Persistence.’ ‘No Bad Vibes’ is the very fitting title of a brand new music video on the way, fresh off the ADDICTION EP, now we are excited to witness greatness from Lyricz

Lyricz picked up the passion for making music as a teenager, performing during his school years and listening to artists such as BabyfaceGinuwine and Boyz 2 Men. This reflected onto his need to create music that cuts across all genres and passes a strong message. Growing up an avid poet, he adopted the name Lyricz after colleagues and friends started calling him ‘Lyrical’. Soon enough, he developed his effortless style and innovative songwriting ability, so we can now look forward to hearing some more ‘Lyricz‘!

Fly, Shine & Stream New Electro-Rap Song From President Of Pop

Single Cover

President Of Pop, or POP as he calls himself followed up on his debut single and anti social media manifesto titled “Google-ized by Google’s Eyes, (The No Internet Song).” His new track is called ‘Fly/Shy’

As the press release explains: ‘Fly/Shine,’ is an artistic act reminding everyone to listen to their heart, and the power they can access and feel when doing so. The President of POP points out the importance of listening to our inner voice, believing and chasing our dreams, rather than thinking we are losers. This empowering song sustains the momentum initiated by the previously released one against social media, “Google-ized by Google’s Eyes, (The No Internet Song),” two intelligent and honest songs that expose the listener to their own reality and habits.

Clearly, POP is on a mission to raise awareness on important topics through his music. To make his statement noticeable, he uses very unique tunes while composing his tracks. ‘Fly/Shine’ includes his sharp rap flow, synth, and subtle pads he pulls out on the beat, intensifying the mood and the message alongside it. ‘Fly/Shine’ is interesting from the point of overall aesthetics – for some the song might be too loud, too busy, and too overdone, but we find it somewhat consistent. As we dive deep into his lyrics, we can hear the balance between sounds, and get the hint that all of the chaos was created intentionally. Good work!

Pronounced Laila E Releases Debut Single ‘Grey Street’

Icon The Great is Back For More with Tripper Remix

Inspired by the social issues faced by the homeless and sex workers ‘Grey Street’ is the latest single to come from Australian artist Pronounced Laila E. Giving a voice to the voiceless, Pronounced Laila E features the cries of a woman she met on Grey Street in St Kilda, an area of Melbourne where Pronounced Laila E is currently residing. Lyrically trying to overcome prejudice, the gentle guitar accompaniment gives way to a gritty hard hitting beat and lets the vocals take centre stage.
Using music and lyric writing as a tool to overcome past trauma, Pronounced Laila E has been writing rhymes for the last ten years. With themes focusing around social issues such as homelessness, personal experiences with mental illness and awareness, the battle of the ego mind and the path to awakening and self realisation Pronounced Laila E says “I wish to be a voice to those who need to be heard and those who need to heal.” Citing The Beastie Boys and Faithless as her influences, her music is diverse and her songwriting ability versatile. Whilst live shows are cancelled due to Covid-19, she will be performing a live show on NSB radio, with the date to be confirmed due to stage 4 of lockdown.

Cannon’s Conversations is Perfect Concoction of Organic Meets Digital

Cannon is a 21-year-old independent artist from South Carolina who blends strong hip/hop and R&B influences with an organic sound he developed at open mic nights with an old acoustic guitar.

“Conversations” is about ignoring our personal issues for the sake of feeling like we don’t have them. It’s easier to turn to quick tricks to feel better or ignore feeling bad entirely than to really consider and engage with how we feel. There’s a really important difference between talking and having a conversation, whether it’s with ourselves or with others—and this song is emphasizing that difference. It’s easy to talk, but it’s hard to really engage with something enough to actually have a conversation. “Conversations” shows someone not engaging — they tell themselves they’re trying but they’re not really. They’re lying

Baddest hip Hop Rapper FVN Releases New Music

Rapper

Female rapper FVN teams up with her favourite producer DJ John Vincent. Together they have created the City Girl/Saweetie-inspired banger ‘Baddest’.

FVN is also, as the first artist ever, featured on Fallulah’s first single from her new project, which will be released in the nearest feature.

FVN’s own release, ‘Baddest’, starts out with an intro in Danish, which deals with the criticism she has received in a short period of time. ‘Baddest’ is therefor a cocky and provocative clap back to; all the haters who continuously tells her to act and behave a certain way and to people who always ask her “do you write your own lyrics?” – as if a female rapper isn’t capable of writing her own punchlines?

The official music video for the track is produced by Dose Sampu and will be released short after the release of the single.

The video is a crazy mash up of flashy footage in where FVN proudly radiate a bad bitch attitude in the style of Missy Elliott and Lil Kim.
