Chris Reardon Releases Beautifully Inspiring Alternative Rock Singles “How We Win” And “Elephant In The Room”

New Music

Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer  Chris Reardon has been extremely active in the music scene this year, and recently released “Elephant In The Room,” a beautifully melodic alternative rock single, as well as “How We Win,” a moving tribute to all the medical bodies working day and night to saves lives and fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Reardon was born in Coventry, England, before spending his formative years in Hong Kong, and returning to the UK where he is currently based.

His limitless imagination, unmatchable musicianship, and incredibly sophisticated mastery of the alternative rock genre propels him as one of the rare alt rock masters of our times.

The combination of meticulously crafted rhythms with minimalist yet extremely impactful lyrics and melodic constructions make these two releases so special, and although they are very different from one another, Chris Reardon’s spirit can be found and easily spotted on both tracks.

Shadowlands Unveil New Single From Upcoming 003 LP

Alternative rock Band

From a dusty dirt track deep in the Mallee come the Dip Road Dogs, who have released their dreamy, driving new single Labour Day, a thoughtful, heavy track, in the vein of Tame Impala and The Flaming Lips, out November 2.

Purveyors of the finest psychedelic Americana folk rock, Dip Road Dogs have produced a killer single with Labour Day.  Chugging guitars, unstoppable percussion, and hypnotic vocals will lull listeners into a grooving trance, while mesmerising strings provide an all-encompassing bed for the melodies to float upon.  It’s impossible to ignore this irresistible beat.  The single was written at our studio in the middle of the Leaghur Forest in Northern Victoria and recorded in Nashville, Tennessee – funnily enough, we wrote it on Labour Day after a big weekend at Golden Plains,” explains lead vocalist Dave Chirnside.  “We had the music written for almost six months but only got around to writing the lyrics for it the night before we were due to track vocals at the studio in Nashville.  The song is about procrastination, about not being able to write lyrics for a song you have music for – it’s basically about doing your own thing and not letting other people’s opinions prevent you from doing what you want to do.”

Dip Road Dogs are a group of friends who mostly reside in a house on Dip Road in the Mallee – with Oliver living in the far reaches of Western Victoria.  As farmers, they found there was plenty of time and space to work on their tunes whilst stuck on machinery during harvest – so the boys began to put together some songs, as Dave explains, Jack and I had been living on and off at the Dip Road house for three years or so when a mutual friend introduced Matt to the boys and he moved in.  After a few welcome beers, the guitars came out and the rest is history.  As none of the us were any good on the drums, Matt’s brother Ollie joined the band and the Dogs were complete.  With all of us being from farms, we have spent plenty of monotonous hours sitting on tractors thinking of riffs and what not which I guess has been positive looking back.  Jack actually mastered the Harmonica whilst planting tomatoes!”

Stay tuned for news on the band’s debut EP Shakshuka in early 2020.
Dip Road Dogs is Jack Pay, Dave Chirnside, Oliver Close and Matthew Close.

Futility the Alternative Rock Banger from Trident Waters

Futility the Alternative Rock Banger from Trident Waters

Alternative Rock Band

Futility is the third single release from the E.P Hollywood To Vegas which is out now.
Hitting your senses and coming at you like the offspring of a whisky drenched Led Zeppelin and Hawkwind, TRIDENT WATERS’ infectious groove and contagious riffery are sure to ignite.
The London-based threesome were born in 2015 and feature the aural talents of Andrew Knightley (Vocals/Guitar), Wilson Zaidan (Bass), and Greg Zaka (Drums).
Taking inspiration from Rival Sons, John Lee Hooker, Winery Dogs, Albert King, and Joe Bonamassa, the band despatch an engrossing alternative-rock sound that is underpinned by edgy blues rock.
TRIDENT WATERS are steadily picking up new fans and have already extensively played throughout the UK, sharing stages with genre legends such as Michael Schenker, Hawkwind, Shark Island and Procol Harum.
In the over-saturated Rock world not many bands have the capability and musicianship to stand out from the crowd.
TRIDENT WATERS achieve this very feat. Playing passionate, powerful hook laden tracks, they blaze a trail ahead of many of their contemporaries.
Having previously self-released two EPs, Tales Of Conflict and Devotion & Seven, the groundwork is now in place for TRIDENT WATERS to propel themselves to the vanguard of the UK rock scene.
The band’s new EP, Hollywood To Vegas, was released in June 2019.
It’s the trio’s most accomplished work to date and 2019 is shaping up to be a monumental year for the band.
Their latest single and video, Futility is available now at all good streaming sites and via their youtube channel. “Futility is a desert rock banger. It’s a song about the constant struggles we all face and identify with day to day. Sometimes it feels like everything is getting on top of you. Like you’re being swallowed by an Ocean of noise. This songs reflects those feelings and the fight to overcome”.
