Inspirational Indie Folk From Marlia Project; ‘Palisandros’

Indie Folk Artist

Inspirational indie-folk artist Marlia Project has just released her brand new albumPalisandros‘. This is her 2nd full-length album, following on from her debut ‘ODE To Self’, released in 2017.

‘Palisandros’ (meaning ‘Rosewood’ in English) was self-recorded as Marlia travelled around the world, containing songs created to ‘essentially bring peace to our soul’. The album explores a plethora of sounds, from an improvised handpan solo to classical Indian passages, a testament to her versatility. The first two tracks see Marlia sings in her native Cypriot tongue, something she has never done before in her own material. Throughout the project, she consistently provides soothing vocal performances with a spiritual message at the center, looking to inspire the listener.

Marlia Project is much more than a musician. She has journeyed around the world with her music, seeking enlightenment from her experiences, as well as providing it for others. Since releasing her debut album, she has taken her craft to the farthest corners of the globe, currently in the midst of her ‘Rising VOICE‘ tour, offering live performances and workshops for her audience. Inspired by the likes of Bjork, Imogen Heap and Rising Appalachia, Marlia offers a truly unique experience within her sound. With a growing presence she is a powerful voice in the world of ‘Ceremonial/medicine music’ and the rising global community of people who are committed to residing in harmony with the Earth.

Palisandros is available now on all major streaming platforms.
