Australia Wild and Free Debut Psychedelic Single from Tumbo Pit

Australia Wild and Free Debut Psychedelic Single from Tumbo Pit

Indie Rock Band

Introducing the debut single from Newcastle psychedelic pop group Tumbo Pit. Appropriately titled “Australia”, the track talks about current political issues surrounding the country at this point in time. Tumbo Pit complements Joey Geyer’s lyrics with a cascading wall of sound,

“apparently we’ve got boundless plains to share…” – a massive introduction from an Australian band on the rise.

‘Australias’ super catchy rhythmic groove and verse follows by the unique lead vocal which encapsulates the “young and free” qualities that Australia has been known for, exploding into a wild chorus of big voices and mind blowing electric psychedelic guitar.

Tumbo Pit is an Australian band to watch with excitement. Band members, Duncan Brown, Lachlan Fisher, Joey Geyer and James Osborn, who formed from various acts, have been kicking around Central Coasts, Newcastle for a while now.

The single artwork “Biraban”, is by good friend and local Awabakal artist Saretta Fielding. It tells of an historical Awabakal leader Biraban and how he worked to bring together “the very different and divided cultures” at the time, a very fitting work for the track!
