David J Releases New Music Proving Bauhaus Is Not Dead

David J Releases New Music Proving Bauhaus Is Not Dead

Bauhaus Artist David J

This is a highly ambitious and intensely personal, self deprecating, confessional song cycle, which details a period of profound transition. A culmination of everything David J has created in the past 36 years of solo and collaborative work.

The new album features contributions from Anton Newcombe (Brian Jonestown Massacre), Toby Dammit (Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds), Paul Wallfisch (Swans), Sean Eden (Luna), Rose McGowan, Asia Argento, Emily Jane White, Annabel (lee) and the great Czech violinist Karel Holas, amongst others.

The new album was recorded in Prague, Berlin and Los Angeles, as well as Beck Studios in Wellingborough, England, where Bauhaus cut their seminal ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’ back in 1979. This is a ‘coming home’ of sorts as Glass Modern Records is essentially the reactivated Glass Records, the label that released David J’s earliest critically acclaimed solo works.

This album is intended as a cyclic swan-song, the last track, ‘I Hear Only Silence Now’ being a new version of the song that was the first on David J’s 1983 solo debut ‘Etiquette Of Violence’.

Ahead of this album, David J released two singles – ‘The Auteur (Redux / The Starlet’s Cut)’ featuring actress, activist and writer Rose McGowan and ‘Migena And The Frozen Roses’ featuring actress Asia Argento and Brian Jonestown Massacre frontman Anton Newcombe. A two-track version of the single, including David’s rendition of ‘Read ‘Em ‘N Weep’ (written by Ian Hunter), is available exclusively via Bandcamp.

David J will be supporting this album with a European and UK tour. David recently completed a massive world tour for Bauhaus’ Ruby anniversary, joining former bandmate Peter Murphy. Sold out venues around the world proved once again that Bauhaus’ music is as vital now as it was 40 years ago.

David J will be bringing his distinct charm and sonic swagger to audiences in Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, France and the UK. Special guest on all dates will be singer/songwriter Micky Greaney, whose forthcoming album is being produced by David J.

David’s trio features the great Karel Holas on violin for most dates. Karel played on the album, which was recorded at his First Floor studio in Prague. Fiona Brice (Placebo, Elbow, John Grant, Simply Red) will play violin for Lisbon, Leira, Porto, Barcelona, Madrid and Paris shows. Robert Vasicek, who also contributed to David’s album, will play piano.

The tour kicked of October 12 in Berlin, winding up later that month in David J’s native Britain. His two Spanish appearances (in Barcelona and Madrid) will be particularly special with David J supporting 80s new wave legends Psychedelic Furs.

The album can be pre-ordered at  https://glassmodern.bandcamp.com/album/missive-to-an-angel-from-the-halls-of-infamy-and-allure. Tickets for shows can be obtained as indicated below.

Stephen Day Debut Album Guess Im Grown Exudes Universal Quality

IStephen Day Debut Album Guess Im Grown Exudes Universal Quality

Indie Artist Stephen Day

” Guess I’m Grown Now  feels like the only record I could have possibly made at this time in my life,”  Stephen Day  explains.

“Somehow all of the things I felt limited by at the beginning of making this album made it a perfect time stamp on my life, which is, I guess, how things work? As a person who doesn’t necessarily love to talk about feelings all the time, this record holds a lot of them for me— sadness, extreme joy, FOMO, letting go, starting over, etc. My biggest hope for anyone who listens through this whole album is that they let themselves feel every feeling it holds.”

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter released his debut, full-length record in a premiere with Popdust on Friday. Paring sparkling Jack Antonoff-esque production styles with expert jazz musicianship, Day encapsulates an anthology of early adulthood experiences that give the album an intimate-yet-universal quality. The sound marks a step away from his previous acoustically driven material, while still retaining his signature soulful tenor.

With his last few singles and debut 2016 EP,  Undergrad Romance and the Moses In Me , Day landed on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart and racked up over 13 million streams on the platform alone. The buzz earned him a slot in Nashville’s Live On The Green festival last month, alongside St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Grace Potter, and Steve Earl, among others. The new record sees him touring with The Brook & The Bluff this fall.

Indie Rock Band Victoria Flight Celebrate The Last Days Of Summer

Indie Rock Band

Victoria’s Flight Consists of childhood friends Craig Harkness and Matt Robertson. They have established a loyal and growing fanbase in their hometown of Glasgow, a city well-known for music and culture.

Despite the abundance of talent in this city, the pair have set themselves apart with their rich and memorable melodies. Opening for Drax Project in their first Scottish show was one of their highlights, but the pinnacle was gratefully obliging Anteros’ request to reprise the high-energy support of their headline show for a second time. Other main supports include ‘Sea Girls’, ‘High Tyde’ and ‘The Magic Gang’.Their new single ‘Last Days Of Summer’ is the second of three singles that together tell the story of a summer of love and loss.

Beyond The Sun Conceive “Shuffle” as New Genre of Music

Beyond The Sun Conceive “Shuffle” as New Genre of Music

Indie Rock Band

Pop band Beyond The Sun is officially making waves with their brand new single and music video “Holding On To You,” (directed by David O’Donohue, who has worked with popular artists such as LANY, COIN, Sasha Sloan and Russell Dickerson) the debut release from their forthcoming album Shuffle.

The song, written from the perspective of losing a loved one close to you, tells the heartbreaking story of what it would look like and what you would say if it was your last chance to speak to that person. The band chose their song to be the lead single off Shuffle (which will be released in two parts), as it conveys who they are sonically – a band that bends the line of a genre and is country, alternative, pop and rock all in one.

Beyond The Sun is made up of three tight-knit brothers – Colin (lead vocals), Phil (lead guitar) and Dalton (drums) – who grew up just outside of Toronto. With influences like Ed Sheeran, Bleachers and Ryan Hurd, the band has coined their music as “shuffle,” constantly crossing the lines between genres – high energy pop beats intertwined with the small town songwriting and storytelling made popular by country music. Think Dan + Shay meets Coldplay.

Make sure to check out part one of Shuffle on October 25, follow them on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and be sure to keep up with any new tour dates on their  website (and soon enough, they could be selling out of these iconic venues ).

Cami Galles Finally Releases Debut Album After Near Death Experience

Cami Galles Finally Releases Debut Album After Near Death Experience

Indie Pop Singer

Cami Galles has known since the age of 4 she was here to sing. Yet, over the years, she’s succumbed to her own fears and yielded to the misguided directions of others. In December 2018, while in Bali, Cami nearly died, and from her hospital bed the Chicago-based artist vowed if she survived she would finally release her debut album.

On October 15th, she keeped that promise and issued her first-ever album, “Correlated.” The 8-song record is available for digital sale, download and streaming worldwide on Spotify, Apple, GooglePlay, Amazon and 102 other digital platforms.

“In this life, we arrive and leave with our selves. Everything we have and do point back to our relationship with ourselves,” Cami shares. “This album tells an evolutionary story about my past relationships, and how I learned to prioritize my relationship with myself.”

For years, Cami has dazzled audiences in New York and the Midwest with her invigorating “future blues” aesthetic—a singular melding of blues, pop, jazz, enlightened and empowered lyrics, and uptempo dance beats. Now, her inaugural solo release proves her to be a masterful songwriter, producer, and singer.

“Correlated” documents a triumphant rise of the authentic self, and it’s threaded with raw truths culled from years of dealing with disappointment, pain, damage, heartbreak, prejudice, and fear. Throughout this collection, Cami’s lyrics brim with bold vulnerability and playful swagger.

The album’s leadoff single, “Liar,” explores a humorously seething narrative of a boyfriend getting caught exploring “extra-curricular” activities. Driven by a rollicking piano-melodic figure and an infectious beat, the tune comes off like empowered anthem rather than a heartbreak lament. “If you think the person you are seeing is up to something they probably are,” she warns. “Don’t waste your time trying to change them—keep moving—the right one will come along soon enough.”

Cami has performed “Liar” at Soho House for its Lollapalooza Kickoff Show. The song’s playfully deliciously vengeful video has earned plum accolades, including winning the 2019 Festigious International Film Festival held in Los Angeles, and it has deemed an “official selection” of the Feel The Reel International Film Festival 2019.

“Liar” will be followed up by the single “Sugar Baby.” The crushed-velvet disco strut and dance-pop production of “Sugar Baby” make it an undeniable club banger. Beneath the fizzy exterior of “Sugar Baby” is a lesson in self-love and being direct in romantic relationships. “It’s the all-year-round opposite of ‘Santa Baby,’” Cami says slyly with a good-natured laugh. Another album standout is the ethereal ballad “God Only Knows.” Here, the song’s sparsely elegant musicality, and poignant lyrics and soulfully emotive singing, make it feel like a prayer in song. Cami confirms: “That is the song version of the vow I made to myself to get my music out there after my near-death experience.”

ABOUT CAMI GALLES: Cami was born and raised in Kansas, but came into her own as an artist in New York City. She brought Big Apple grit with her when she relocated to Chicago. Cami’s a fierce and charismatic performer, actively gigging regionally and nationally. Stay up to date on all things Cami-related, including shows, music, and more at www.camigalles.com.

Elizabeth The Second Reveals First Garage Rock Single, ‘No One Cares’

Elizabeth The Second Reveals First Garage Rock Single, ‘No One Cares’

Indie Rock Band

Rock power trio Elizabeth The Second present their first single ‘No One Cares’. Loaded with swagger and spunk, this rhythmically pounding piece focuses on Camden with a vintage atmosphere – the perfect soundtrack for a night out on the town.

Elizabeth The Second are Ben Moro (guitar and vocals), Michele Venturini (bass guitar) and Luca Gallato (drums). Their music is influenced by The Clash, Blur, The Libertines, Artic Monkeys, Nirvana and The Stone Roses.

‘No One Cares’ is the first taster of their forthcoming debut album  ‘Two Margaritas at the Fifty Five’. Sonically, this music blends classic garage rock with punk and grunge accents. Frontman Ben Moro takes his vice to the boiling point, wavering between delicate parts and biting screams.

Formed in mid-2018 in Padova, northern Italy, this trio was born of shared excitement over music and its creation. The desire to return to play together between Ben and Michele old friends, were interested in playing together again after a significant gap, but it wasn’t until they met up with Luca that they found the magic formula for the band’s genesis.

The ‘Two Margaritas at The Fifty Five’ EP is a journey through impulsive sounds, seasoned with a captivating melodic compartment. It was recorded at the Hypnoise Recording Studio under the careful supervision of sound engineer Filippo Galvanelli and mastered by Giovanni Versari at La Maestà Mastering Studio (Muse, Afterhours, Verdena, Calibro 35, Nic Cester).

This EP references everything that has been essential and musically formative for the trio – strong influences from the 90s and 2000s mesh tastefully with sounds borrowed from The Stone Roses and The Clash. Here, punk, grunge, indie rock and Britpop blend together under the clear influence of classic UK rock. The guitars are raw, well marked by the amps’ saturated and incandescent tubes, amalgamated by a pressing rhythmic compartment, sometimes on the frontiers of dance. The lyrics are inspired by the band’s daily experiences and the most impulsive and hidden outbursts, transformed into a stream of consciousness.

‘No One Cares’ is now available across online stores and streaming platforms. The full album ‘Two Margaritas at the Fifty Five’ will be released on November 9, well timed with their London gig at The Unicorn Camden Live that very evening for Punk’n’Roll Rendez-Vous.

Drifting ChannelDrifting Channels Release Debut Album, Rising Tides Release Debut Album, Rising

Folk Singer

Folk singer-songwriter Drifting Channels is set to release their debut album ‘Rising Tide’ on 9th October.

‘Rising Tide’ is an album inspired by living in the wilderness for several years and appreciating both the simplicity and complexity of our world and our ecosystems. Evident in the track, this acoustic guitar melody paired with a soulful harmonica takes inspiration from the likes of Jeff Buckley, Tash Sultana and early Bob Dylan work.

Hailing from Australia, Drifting Channels finds passion in writing simple acoustic songs that talk to the listener about current things happening in the world. This is clear to see in his music as well as in the artists he takes inspiration from.

Australian Singer Hugo BAsclain’s Impressive Debut Single

Australian Singer Hugo Basclain’s Impressive Debut Single

Australian Singer

Pop artist Hugo Basclain is set to release his new single ‘Veins’ on 16th October 2019. This is the debut single from the Australian singer/songwriter.

‘Veins’ is an ode to finding the light at the end of the tunnel after a broken heart left you helpless, the strong vocals and rich piano melody make this track feel as emotional as the subject matter suggests.

Hailing from the Central Coast of Australia, (where many great talented artists seem to come from) Hugo Basclain faced many hardships growing up and often used his obsession with music as an escape.

Recently, he decided to take this obsession with music to the next level and started covering songs online, entering competitions and making himself known around his hometown. This exposure gained him a mentor in Australian Idol winner and X Factor judge, Guy Sebastian, citing him as a huge driving force behind continuing to pursue his dream.

Considering this is Hugo’s first single release, we look forward to many more of his impressive work.

New Music to Face Your Fears Into The Woods From SERA

New Music to Face Your Fears Into The Woods From SERA

Folk Music Indie Artist

‘Into the Woods’  is the follow-up to SERA’s acclaimed ‘Rabbit Hole’ single which was released in June to acclaimed reviews, and extensive radio support. ‘Into The Woods’ is a continuation on the theme of twisted fairytales.

Into the Woods’ is a response to the reoccurring plot-line in stories and films, where women are often chased into the woods by bad men, pursued by monsters or face great peril amongst the trees. Into the Woods instead becomes a place to grow, gain strength and face your fears.

SERA doesn’t mess around when it’s time to begin telling the story with the strumming of guitar and vocals jumping straight in with the simplicity of her vocals allowing the lyric and the story taking position into the spotlight. As soon as the chorus hits, SERA  takes you on a rhythmical journey all of her own ‘Into the Woods’.

SERA’s new songs will continue to follow in this theme of the mythic-surreal rooted in very real experiences. The track is taken from SERA’s collection of songs for 2019 and from her new collaboration with producer Andi Bonsai.

SERA hails from Caernarfon in North Wales and is a busy bilingual (Welsh and English) performer and songwriter, part of the CEG Records family. Earlier this year SERA was selected as a part of BBC Horizons programme, in which the BBC back a dozen of the freshest acts in Wales and provide them with festival showcases and industry opportunites.

Shelly Segal Hit’s all The Right Notes with New Single ‘NO’

Shelly Segal Hit’s all The Right Notes with New Single ‘NO’

Australian Singer Indie Artist

LA-based songwriter Shelley Segal has her released latest single No, a modern, bold and assertive track that describes the difficulty many women face when turning down sexual advances.

Shelley has also announced her masterful new EP Holy, a masterclass in intimate lyricism and exciting, innovative Americana, set for release on November 1.

The Australian musician has been living and working in Los Angeles for three years, writing and recording Holy in the US while touring and collaborating on a host of noteworthy artistic projects.

No has a sentiment that will ring true for many women who have found themselves in a situation where it was almost impossible to say the word.  Driving guitars and textured percussion propel the track forward with serious attitude, while Shelley’s honeyed vocals carve a stunning melody on top.

Speaking on the inspiration behind this important track, Shelley explains,

No is a song about consent and the subtleties surrounding it.  It describes three different scenarios in which the protagonist finds it difficult to say no to sexual advances.  I wrote the song because even though it’s 2019 and so many women feel comfortable asserting themselves and speaking up for themselves, and even though there has been so much public discourse and progress on these issues, there are still scenarios where it feels hard to say ‘no’.  You can find yourself in a situation that you don’t want to be in and yet be unable to express that.  It’s not always easy in the moment to process the potential consequences that may come from your reaction.  Like the examples in the song for instance, in a work environment, in the street with a stranger.  Saying ‘no’ can create adverse outcomes like risking your job, or your safety.  This discussion around consent is not as straightforward as maybe we would like it to be and I wanted to reflect on those nuances.”

No is the first taste of Shelley Segal’s glorious new EP Holy.  This is an artist who has truly found her feet; Holy Man shines with energetic roots, rock riffs, skilled arrangement and Shelley’s undeniable lyrics and beautiful vocal performance.  San Antonio tugs at the heartstrings, a simple acoustic track with a deeply affecting message, while Holy is steeped in attitude and power, as Shelley sings, “I believe my body is beautiful, and it belongs to me.”

The EP was recorded in Brooklyn at Atomic Sound Studios with Dakota Bowman and Merle Chornuk (Tandy, Ryan Adams), it was produced and co-written (3 songs) with New York producer, guitarist and film composer Askold Buk and was mastered by Ted Jensen (Norah Jones, Dave Matthews).  Speaking on the making of the release, Shelley enthuses,

“I’ve been working on the songs for this record for over the last three years – since 2016, the year I moved to the US.  I’ve called the ep ‘HOLY‘  which felt like a really powerful statement.  In the Jewish tradition I grew up in, what was holy was dictated to me.  Which words, items and actions and even which people were holy was dictated to me.  To elevate my life, my songs, my experiences and my voice (which was not allowed to be heard unaccompanied in my synagogue), to call them holy is incredibly empowering.  It’s a challenge to those who want to use concepts of holiness and the sacred to create hierarchies, often placing themselves at the top.  I hope it will inspire people to decide for themselves what is holy and sacred to them.”

Shelley has been living and working in the US since 2016, and in between touring the country and writing music for her own project, Shelley has done everything from writing for musicals, for Estonian pop star ELYSA, and Dutch artist Glennis Grace, among others.  She has also worked tirelessly for charity group One Law For All, writing two songs for the organisation and reciving the CEMB Award (Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain) for her contributions.  Always busy with multiple thought-provoking projects on the go at once, Shelley is currently working on the music for a documentary (entitled Transmission Love) about a young transgender girl growing up in LA, as well as a conservation-themed EP with a science educator and biologist about the Puget Sound Watershed in Washington State.

Inner 29 Bring Pop-Punk/Emo To the Scene with New Music

Inner 29 Bring Pop-Punk/Emo To the Scene with New Music

Pop-Punk Emo BandBrand new EP from Brazilian based pop-punk/emo band –  INNER 29  . Full of catchy choruses and punchy guitar and piano driven pop-punk music. Fans of Something Corporate, Blink-182, Motion City Soundtrack, Relient K, Homegrown, Jimmy Eat World, Armor For Sleep, and Brandtson will find something to instantly enjoy about this new band.

About INNER 29:

A Brazilian three-piece band that is ready to show the world they mean business, INNER 29 is a living example that the youthful feel of Pop-Punk is something anyone anywhere can enjoy.

It all started out as a project by Mateus Freitas (Vocals, Guitar, Piano), who produced and recorded some demos in his bedroom in early 2018. He sent the songs to his closest friends, and based on their feedback, decided to record an EP on a professional studio, under the name Inner 29. He then invited two friends to join the group, Anderson Leonardo (Bass, BV) and Alexandre Junior (Guitar, BV).

Inspired by bands like Relient K, Mae, and Jimmy Eat World, and set out to make memorable music, they tracked their debut EP. “As far as sound and production, Inner 29 is quite impressive; in fact, the whole EP sounds like it was touched on by the finest producers available”, wrote Jesus Freak Hideout music reviewer Scott Fryberger on the record. Warm-heartedly received by their town’s scene, the debut also caught the attention of US-based record label Indie Vision Music.

Though distributed independently at first, the EP “Now and Again, Here” will be rereleased through IVM, remixed, with new artwork, mastering by Troy Glessner (New Found Glory, Neck Deep, Emery), and with two new songs.
Bringing a refreshing take on Pop-Punk/Emo to the scene, with sound and aesthetic reminiscent of the 2000’s and thoughtful lyrics, Inner 29 is a band to keep an eye on. The story is just beginning!

Borza has helped with his playing, writing, producing and engineering on recordings with new artists and impressive established artists such as such as the McGarrigle sisters, Emmylou Harris to Lauryn Hill.

However Borza felt that time had come; that moment he noticed his musical endeavours did not feel complete. Borza felt that he didn’t complete & put out his records as well amongst his fellow artist friends and partners.

Borza first release was an alternative/folk EP called “playing with time” in December 2016, and this year he is looking to finalize a full length album that will have the essences of alternative pop, folk & reggae.

The soon to be released album is being produced by his dear friend and producer Malcolm Burn who has produced music for the likes of Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Emmylou Harris, and Daniel Lanois.

His 1st single “Be Amazing” from the upcoming record was released on April 26th 2019 and has been added to more than 325 playlists on Spotify to date.

Borza’s songs & music are about the enlightenments he has had that’s helped him with different situations in life, and he likes to share these moments with people, just like he does with his friends & family.

Borza‘s new single “Live and Love” is a folk-inspired alt-pop track about letting go and to simply be.

Kill Chicago Releases New Music from ForthComing album

Kill Chicago Releases New Music from ForthComing Album12

Indie Rock Band

Kill Chicago have a careful knack for weaving heartfelt messages through boisterous rock’n’roll. Natural storytellers with a political core, this New Brunswick-based quartet has made a name for itself through electrifying live shows and an honesty that reflects their blue collar history. Their new album, The Fix (releases November 8th, 2019) amplifies their dissent with relatable working class anthems, breaking the fever dream of societal expectations.

Digging deeper into their storytelling roots, The Fix sees Kill Chicago take aim at contemporary issues – education, economy and the politicization of the modern era – while relating the personal subject of mental shifts that accompany parenthood. Lead songwriter Greg Webber notes “Having my daughter has made me think about the concept of self-improvement. It seems like we’re always trying to fix some part of ourselves, but when we were kids our concerns were less internal. Why do we see ourselves as broken?”. The Fix challenges these concepts head-on, with a full arsenal of guest performers & expanded sonic territory that make it their strongest, most cohesive album yet.

The release of The Fix follows some much deserved accolades, with their previous album, The Grey, being awarded Music NB’s Album of The Year (2016), and performing on the ECMA’s Rising Star stage (2018) as well as a slew of regional festival slots.

Kill Chicago are nothing if not dedicated members of their local community. When not performing, Greg Webber (guitar/vox) teaches music at Fredericton High, developing the next generation of artists; Drummer Zach Atkinson is owner and promoter at the legendary venue The Capital, and both Matt Bowie (bass) and Dillon Anthony (guitar/keyboards) are seasoned veterans of the east coast music scene. Together, they’re politically-charged and community-minded, thick-skinned but with a sentimental core.

Kill Chicago is a group that’s gained the grit of experience. They’ve been on both sides of the fence but know that grass is only greener when you put the time in to make it that way. Writing songs for the working class and building up the bereft. The Fix is meant to be one thing… good medicine for good people.

Kill Chicago has just released a single from their forthcoming album, ‘Moonlight’.

Moonlight is one of my oldest songs. It was written on a stoop in Vancouver on the classical guitar I was using to get my music degree with. The song was given new life when I asked the 88 member Concert Band I direct to sing the gang vocal. Our producer Brad Perry was listening to what we had laid down for the track and said “It sounds like you’re trying to be 100 people, but you’re only 3. So unless you have access to 100 different voices at once, we need to cut that part out.” I returned a few weeks later having recorded the High School students at the end of pour last rehearsal before Christmas break. Their energy gives me goosebumps every time.

New Music from Anthony James; Perfect Example Of Indie Music

New Music from Anthony James; Perfect Example Of Indie Music

Indie Artist

Refreshing pop rock new music from Perth singer songwriter, Anthony James, carries out an invigorating drive of fusion between an electronic dance bass and rock guitar, giving his new song, ‘Existence’ some serious credit.

At the heart of every Anthony James song is a beat you can’t ignore, beckoning your hips to get up and dance. The Australian-born Londoner espouses irresistible rhythms to catchy, bittersweet hooks and driving guitar lines. The end result is pop music with a gritty edge… the perfect array of loveable melodies with a tinge of heightened emotion.

When asked about ‘Existence’, Anthony stated:

“Existence is about living life on auto-pilot and never fully tapping into our potential. The music was written in summer in Australia and the lyrics written in winter in the UK”

Taking his cues from acts like FoalsThe Strokes and Beck and incorporating elements of indie and alternative – Anthony James’ music is deeply inspired by household names, but always stays true to his unique sound.

If anyone asks what is indie musicAnthony James is a perfect example, from creating unique sounds through production, blending strong melodies along side his soulful vocal tone, making his new single ‘Existence’, truely warranting the accolade and example of a real indie music gem.

Perky Disco DAnce Pop New Music from Les Loups Gets You Hooked

Perky Disco Dance Pop New Music from Les Loups Gets You Hooked

Dance Band

Les Loups new music release will get you well and truely hooked and dancing. With finger snapping electro sounds that sits up close, you can’t help but feel that perhaps the cool melodic sounds and dry beats of the 80’s dance era are making a comeback. And that puts a big smile on my face!

There is a certain familiarity about the new song ‘Jadded’ that I like; or maybe it’s because the swooping electro keys and sound of space remind me of an all time favourite song of mine.

And the vocals of Brock are divine of course. Les Loups has just gained another fan.

More about Les Loups:

By exploring genres and shifting boundaries, Les Loups’ music is a melting pot of modern dance and electronic music as well as organic and raw elements from dusty disco to glowing pop.

Grewing up in the same neighbourhood in their hometown in Germany, Toni, Phil and Felix started out with producing sample-based and ‘straight-to-the-dancefloor’ house music back in 2010. They soon realised that Les Loups could evolve into something more ambitious and tread a new path.

Their popularity grew bigger as they released the summer hit ‘Colourblind’ in 2014, which introduced the amazing Cybil from London. It premiered on Majestic Casual and gained 5+ million overall streams. The follow-up single “Stay“ featured danish soul talent Marie Dahlstrøm. It was critically acclaimed and received the Scandinavian Soul Award for “Best Single 2015“. The release of their debut EP “Arcanum” in August 2016 marked another step stone for the group, as it further crystalized the “Les Loups“ signature sound.

Over the years, they established themselves as well-known DJs, by starting from being a small resident act in their hometown Hanover to performing in cities all over the World, including Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Montreal and many more. They shared the stage with legends like Mousse T., Busy P. or Cassius, but also contemporary greats like of FKJ, Roosevelt or Moon Boots.

In 2019 they’re about to release their first original track in three years. “Jaded” features LA- based singer Brock and is the precursor of more Les Loups music to come.

Patrice Peris New Single ‘Drowning’ Is Pop Music With Style

Patrice Peris New Single ‘Drowning’ Is Pop Music With Style

Indie ArtistPatrice Peris  is at it again with her latest single release “Drowning.”

I have to say, this is most likely the best I’ve heard Patrice sing with an expressive vocal creating an original and unique style and essence with ‘Drowning’.

‘Drowning’ is one of those songs that you still hear after you stop playing it, which is a good indicator of a well written catchy pop song.

The production entails a driving beat drum loop which moves the track along.

‘Downing’ is radiating off the heels of the success of her previous single, “The War,” which, between the acoustic and remixed version, accumulated a combined viewing total of over 100k. Peris’ newest Pop/Dance track plays again with a fun uptempo beat with more serious lyrical content.

When discussing the meaning behind the song and her choice to go the same route stylistically as “The War,” Peris, says,

“For me, I feel like the best way to express myself as an artist is through lyrical content. But in the same sense, a big part of me is not serious and sad all the time so to combine the elements of pop dance, up-tempo tracks with more emotional, thought-provoking lyrical content is kind of the best marriage of the two worlds. I don’t know anyone who has not been around someone who just kind of sucked the life out of them. Drowning came about from this idea. I use the metaphor of drowning because in these relationships it is almost like they drain you of your energy, leaving you lifeless.”

“Drowning” is now available on all music streaming platforms!

Baddest hip Hop Rapper FVN Releases New Music

Rapper

Female rapper FVN teams up with her favourite producer DJ John Vincent. Together they have created the City Girl/Saweetie-inspired banger ‘Baddest’.

FVN is also, as the first artist ever, featured on Fallulah’s first single from her new project, which will be released in the nearest feature.

FVN’s own release, ‘Baddest’, starts out with an intro in Danish, which deals with the criticism she has received in a short period of time. ‘Baddest’ is therefor a cocky and provocative clap back to; all the haters who continuously tells her to act and behave a certain way and to people who always ask her “do you write your own lyrics?” – as if a female rapper isn’t capable of writing her own punchlines?

The official music video for the track is produced by Dose Sampu and will be released short after the release of the single.

The video is a crazy mash up of flashy footage in where FVN proudly radiate a bad bitch attitude in the style of Missy Elliott and Lil Kim.

Indie Rock Band, ‘Assuming We Survive’ Will Survive New Single

Indie Rock Band

Southern California rockers Assuming We Survive have signed with InVogue Records. The band has just released a new single and video “Too Close” which is streaming everywhere here: https://orcd.co/tooclose.

This fall, fans can catch the band on tour with We Were Sharks (with support from Never Loved on select dates. See tour dates below.

Rock n’ roll subculture is uniquely exciting in terms of the level of crowd participation, interactivity, and accessibility present at most shows. From the early days of the Sex Pistols and the Ramones, clear through to the Descendents and NOFX, the most passionate of players work hard to destroy the perceived boundary between the audiences and the band. “Hey, we’re just fans, too. You could be us.”

Assuming We Survive takes this ethos and amplifies it times infinity, barreling headfirst into each and every aspect of their existence with collective energy and unbridled optimism. Singer Adrian Estrella, armed with unmistakable charisma and good-cheer, will take a literal surfboard into the crowd, riding the physical and metaphorical wave of enthusiasm and electricity present at every single AWS show.

The band’s frontman is united in his goodwill and welcoming vibe with his musical cohorts and fellow Inland Empire, California mainstays: guitarist Phil Adams, guitarist Johnny Silva, and drummer Kris Pasos. Assuming We Survive has generated steady steam and garnered accolades for nearly a decade. But in recent years, AWS has truly come into their own as their dedicated approach spreads their sound across the globe, amassing an army of smiling supporters eager to give the band their all.

It’s a wave of momentum and positivity that has catapulted Assuming We Survive into the Top 50 on the New Artist charts and more importantly into the hearts and minds of a burgeoning crew of like-minded supporters and believers, from the kids who share their love for the band on social media to the band’s contemporaries.

All Roads Lead to Home, the band’s debut full-length was a collection of inspiring jams running the gamut from pop-punk to Easycore, with aggressive energy befitting of the more extreme sides of the underground scene and soaring melodies with unapologetic hooks, catchier than most Top 40 rock radio.

Assuming We Survive songs are a collective testament to the band’s creative diversity, dense musical influences, and willingness to pour themselves into their music. Their songs are earnestly heartfelt. AWS is both motivated and motivating.

AWS has toured with such bands as Falling In Reverse, Attila and Atreyu to name a few, while making the rounds on festival lineups like SXSW, So What?! Music Fest, Vans Warped Tour, Self-Help Festival, and Monster’s Aftershock, where they’ve played alongside bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, Good Charlotte, and Real Friends. Assuming We Survive isn’t satisfied until every person in the house is energized, happy, and empowered.

With their last release, CHAPTERS, the band went into the studio with producer Tyler Smyth (Danger Kids, Bless the Fall, Falling In Reverse) with the mentality of making a record that would “break the mold” so to speak.

Now with their recent signing to InVogue Records, Assuming We Survive aims to continue to energize the whole world, one show at a time, channeling energy back and forth with every single fan.
